Job Description

This AVP level Cybersecurity Engineer role centers on enterprise identity and access governance, applying data analysis, process optimization, and automation to strengthen access controls, boost operational efficiency, and support regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer access review and validation activities to maintain appropriate system permissions and governance controls.
  • Review user entitlement and identity-related data to identify inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement automation solutions that reduce manual effort and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with business units, technology teams, and compliance stakeholders to support access management initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on governance processes, user access management practices, and related system capabilities.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving access control standards aligned with organizational security and compliance requirements.
  • Present findings, metrics, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Serve as a resource for operational decision-making, process improvement efforts, and risk mitigation activities.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and communicate outcomes effectively to both technical and business audiences.
  • Experience supporting end users and stakeholders with system functionality, governance processes, and user access-related activities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator with demonstrated leadership skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with enterprise technologies such as Microsoft 365, directory services, reporting platforms, and workflow automation tools. Exposure to identity governance or entitlement management solutions is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of AI technologies and their application to improving business operations, increasing efficiency, and reducing manual effort. Understanding of responsible AI practices and risk considerations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and security control frameworks commonly used in enterprise environments.
  • Experience developing scripts, automations, or process improvements using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or comparable technologies.

Education

Compensation and Location

Location: New York, NY, hybrid

Salary: USD 200,000 - 240,000 per year
