Cybersecurity Network Engineer, Sr

Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Network Engineer to serve as an independent contributing IT professional within the Network Engineering family. In this onsite role in Fort Worth, TX, you will apply advanced technical expertise across multiple IT disciplines to help support and sustain the organization’s networked technical infrastructure.

This position focuses on configuring, testing, and maintaining LAN/WAN environments, handling complex troubleshooting and configuration changes, and contributing to network availability and performance through ongoing investigation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for implemented networks, including diagrams and supporting records.
• Assist in preparing budgetary proposals and technical solutions.
• Analyze and rectify complex network faults to meet defined service levels.
• Support network investigation and performance routines to help ensure network availability.
• Perform complex configuration changes in the CCHCS environment.
• Maintain and support the CCHCS LAN/WAN environment.
• Perform daily maintenance and problem resolution, including operating system patches, software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of direct experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Relevant Information Technology certifications are preferred.
