Cybersecurity Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• As a DevOps engineer, contribute to shaping, operating, and securing a container platform that aligns with client requirements and cloud capabilities.
• Develop container management software to address some of our clients toughest challenges.
• In a senior platform DevOps capacity, apply technical skills to drive mission-forward change.
• Maintain and improve your skills with the latest cloud technologies while pursuing enhancements to the client environment using current container software and seamless orchestration.
• Leverage your DevOps platform experience to inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.
• Recommend resources that assist the client in managing and securely adopting containers.
• Continue strengthening DevOps capabilities while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.
• Collaborate to apply cloud platform technology in ways that support beneficial outcomes for clients.

Requirements

• Four or more years of experience developing tools and processes to mature DevOps or DevSecOps by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and releasing across environments.
• Four or more years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving CI/CD pipeline failures or performance slowdowns.
• Two or more years of production Kubernetes experience, including ECK and AWS GovCloud.
• Two or more years of cybersecurity fundamentals in infrastructure, platform, or security operations contexts (SIEM, vulnerability management, or incident response).
• Experience with DoD cloud and cybersecurity environments.
• Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions.
• Experience developing, managing, and securing containers.
• Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle to solve complex problems in a collaborative setting.
• Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree, or eight or more years of DevOps experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure
• Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
• Experience building and improving continuous deployment tools on Kubernetes
• Experience triaging and resolving issues with open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Linux shell scripting
• Master's degree

Work Model

• Onsite: Work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration with colleagues and clients as required by the role.
• Hybrid: Occasional in-person collaboration at Booz Allen facilities, in alignment with leadership expectations and role needs, with possible visits to customer facilities.
• Remote: Some flexibility may be available, but onsite presence is expected as necessary for the position.

Clearance

• Applicants selected will undergo a security review and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this role is USD 77,600 to 176,000 annually, with final salary determined by location, education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific factors.
