Cybersecurity Sales Engineer
Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cybersecurity Sales Engineer to drive sales performance, expand market share, and support enterprise acquisition outcomes for DoD/IC customers. In this onsite role in McLean, VA, you will work closely with key stakeholders on complex, large-scale programs while applying advanced concepts to unusually challenging technical and commercial problems.
Successful candidates will bring relevant sales engineering, solutions engineering, or systems engineering experience in the DoD/IC environment and be prepared to pursue a Secret clearance. This position is also designed for individuals who can translate cybersecurity platform capabilities into customer-aligned solutions and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage or execute sales activities and actively pursue market share growth to meet sales targets.
- Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, contributing to development of new approaches when needed.
- Work through unusually complex problems, providing highly innovative solutions.
- Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decisions, including mentoring or supervising employees in company and technical competencies.
- Engage key client stakeholders to discuss capabilities and services across several large-scale projects, including driving program of record creation and supporting work tied to large acquisition vehicles.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years experience in a sales engineering, solutions engineering, or systems engineering role supporting DoD or IC customers.
- 3+ years experience with complex technical solutions, including COTS or OEM products, or phased prototyping in the DoW/IC space.
- Experience creating and executing engagement-based acquisition approaches, including whitespace growth and cross-selling solutions into adjacent markets.
- Experience owning or supporting annual sales quotas and driving customer adoption through enterprise agreements or consumption-based offerings.
- Knowledge of a software cloud-based cybersecurity platform that connects users directly to applications and the internet while keeping corporate networks hidden.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred (Nice If You Have)
- Experience working with DoD acquisition centers and Key Client Mission Stakeholders
- Experience developing and maintaining internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Word
- Experience establishing relationships in government and industry communities
- Knowledge of cybersecurity
- Knowledge of DoW acquisition FAR, DFARS, PWS, and SOW interpretation and compliance matrices
- Master’s degree

Work Model
This role is onsite, with work primarily performed full-time at a customer facility where employees collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the position.
Compensation
The projected salary range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Final compensation is based on factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements.
