Job Description
EY's Financial Services Office in Philadelphia is seeking a Data Analyst in Technology Consulting focused on Data & Analytics, with emphasis on Data Architecture & Engineering. This hybrid role centers on designing modern data platforms and data products to support end-to-end data solutions for financial services clients, and includes leadership responsibilities within the Philadelphia team. The position offers a compensation of USD 218,230 per year.

Responsibilities
- Understand business challenges and address remediation through data architecture and engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to transform data usage by architecting modern data platforms, data products, and data marketplaces, delivering end-to-end solutions that improve the data supply chain, reengineer processes, enhance risk controls, and enable information intelligence using current technologies.
- Solve complex issues and drive growth across the financial services sector.
- Define data and analytic strategies by conducting assessments, recommending remediation strategies based on identified gaps, and designing future-state data and analytics solutions.
- Lead and coach diverse teams with varied backgrounds; manage cross-functional teams to ensure task and timeline accountability.
- Propose and drive new technologies to enhance or replace existing business processes.
- Initiate and build thought leadership through white papers, points of view, and proofs of concept.
- Develop strategies to solve problems logically using creative methods.
- Engage and influence large teams and functional leaders; maintain long-term client relationships and networks; cultivate business development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Analytics or related field with 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience; or Master’s degree in the same fields with 4 years of related work experience.
- 3 years of combined experience in the banking, capital markets, insurance, and/or wealth and asset management industries.
- 3 years of experience assisting clients with strategic Data Architecture and Engineering, Cloud Data Modernization, Data Products, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Big Data initiatives and/or Event-driven Architecture.
- 3 years of experience with traditional data architecture practices including Master Data Management, Operational Data Analytics, Customer Data Hub, and/or Data Warehousing.
- 3 years of experience with Next-Gen platforms including hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure), Snowflake, Databricks, and/or distributed databases.
- 3 years of experience designing or architecting large data platforms, data warehouses, streaming applications, data ingestion pipelines, data storage patterns, and/or data integration pipelines.
- 3 years of combined experience in at least one of: traditional RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL); MPP (Redshift, Synapse, Teradata, Vertica, Netezza); NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, Titan, Elasticsearch); Streaming Platform and Applications (Spark streaming, Kafka, Confluent, Storm); DevOps (GitHub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform); Data Modeling (Data Vault, Star, Snowflake, or Canonical).
- Domestic and regional travel up to 60% to meet client needs.
