Data Engineer

Data Engineer role at KBR in Chantilly, VA (onsite), supporting a government customer in Reston, VA, focused on data-driven problem solving, analytics, and delivering data products to enable operations.

Responsibilities

• Create and deploy automated methods to optimize data workflows and products, with presentations for upper management
• Apply statistical analysis techniques such as regression, anomaly detection, and clustering to inform decisions
• Communicate data science activities, technical findings, and data products clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Integrate diverse data sources including Open Source, Publicly Available Information (PAI), Commercially Available Information (CAI), and intelligence records to assemble technical data packages
• Elicit and define system requirements, track milestones to ensure timely completion, and evaluate test results to validate performance and acceptance criteria
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions with production-grade code, version-controlled repositories, and comprehensive technical documentation
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
• 5+ years of progressive, relevant work experience
