Job Description

DCI Solutions is hiring a Data Engineer to support a cross-functional team in Washington, D.C. The role focuses on integrating and transforming data, building applications that inform operational decisions, and delivering reliable platform data through well-managed pipelines. This position requires an Active Secret security clearance and is onsite in Washington, D.C.

Role Overview

  • Serve as a Data Engineer on a cross-functional team to help solve pressing problems.
  • Integrate data, transform insights, and build applications for operational decisions.
  • Set up transfers of data feeds from source systems into the designated location.
  • Write transformations and derive new datasets using Spark for distributed computation.
  • Monitor build progress and debug build problems as needed.
  • Design applications that address operational questions.
  • Execute requests for information (RFI’s) related to the platform’s data footprint.
  • Work with product teams while debugging and understanding the code underpinning the platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science / Engineering (or related career field) preferred.
  • Strong Data Engineering background.
  • Experience with Spark, PySpark, and/or Pandas.
  • Extensive coding/programming experience in Python.
  • Extensive coding/programming experience in SQL, R or similar.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures as they relate to development.
  • Foundry experience is preferred.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (required).
  • Work location: In person (Washington, D.C.).

Compensation

USD 175,000 - 260,000 per year
