Data Engineer

Intrinsic is building modern simulation platforms for the Aerospace industry, and the development team needs a self-motivated Data Engineer to help turn realistic simulation outputs into usable insights. In this hybrid role based in Colorado Springs, you will work across the full data flow, from model verification to visualization and decision-support tooling for large, complex datasets.

As part of a dynamic team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to align simulation goals with production system requirements and metrics, then deliver analytics features that communicate key information quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Formulate data insights from realistic simulation environments that emulate real world systems and platforms
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand desired simulation and production system requirements and metrics
• Develop visualizations that rapidly communicate key metrics intuitively from large, heterogenous data sets and formats
• Verify accuracy of simulation models and scenarios
• Work on a dynamic, adaptable, high performing team
• Rapidly grow skills with the latest technology
• Deliver high quality product features exceeding client expectations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• DoD Top Secret Clearance
• 4+ years of experience with Python
• Experience with the ELK stack
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools
• 3+ years of relevant experience on an Agile software development team
• Experience building, testing, and deploying software
• Experience with Git in a team environment
• Desire and interest to learn and grow outside core job requirements
• US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• DoD Top Secret SCI Clearance
• Experience with large data set analysis
• Experience building and shipping products
• Experience with Helm chart deployments
• Interest and ability to work with Agile, Lean, and/or Continuous Delivery approaches and best practices such as Extreme Programming (XP)
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed

Salary: USD 95,000 - 160,000 per year
