Data Engineer Associate - Asset Management Group (PySpark, Hadoop, SQL)
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, supporting and implementing data solutions for multiple applications to meet business objectives and user requirements, applying technical knowledge to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
- Conduct data requirement analysis and develop data preparation processes for targeted solutions.
- Assist in designing and building data service infrastructure across multiple data platforms aligned to the workflow.
- Support the development and deployment of scalable, available and maintainable data solutions for various applications.
- Provide guidance on data migration and transformation to ensure data solution accuracy and security.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience and a Bachelor's degree are required.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with PySpark and Hadoop ecosystems, building and maintaining data pipelines using Spark, Hive and HDFS.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to translate business logic, write optimized queries, and work with large analytical datasets in Hive/Impala.
- Experience constructing and supporting data ingestion and transformation pipelines, including source-to-target mappings, data validation and quality checks.
- Familiarity with agile delivery models, collaborating within cross-functional teams (developers, analysts, QA, product owners) and participating in sprint-based development and releases.
- Working knowledge of data governance and tooling, including metadata management (eg Alation), documentation standards, and controlled promotion of data to production environments.

Pay Transparency
- Base Salary: USD 45,000 – 142,250 per year
- Salaries may vary by geographic location, market data and individual skills, experience, and education
- This role is incentive eligible with payments based on company, business and/or individual performance
