What you’ll build and maintain

You will design and implement the data ecosystem for battery development, including systems that track battery materials through the full workflow from synthesis and mixing to coating, cell assembly, and testing. The goal is to turn cell test data into repeatable insights through analysis and visualization tools that support cell cycle aging and reference performance evaluation.

  • Design and implement the data ecosystem to drive production and technology development
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the raw-materials-to-cell tracking system
  • Build new data analysis and visualization tools for battery cell cycle aging and reference performance tests
  • Integrate new and existing analysis tools into automated data pipelines
  • Implement and maintain version control for in-house data analysis tools

Key requirements

  • Masters degree in Data Science or Engineering (Materials, Chemical, Electrical, etc.)
  • 6–8 years of direct experience building and/or improving database systems for production tracking
  • Fluent in Python
  • Direct experience with SQL databases and writing SQL queries
  • Direct experience building web applications
  • Familiar with version control software such as Git
  • Strong independent worker
  • Comfort operating in early-stage environments, building infrastructure rather than only running experiments

Compensation and benefits

Salary: USD 140,000 - 185,000 per year.

  • Competitive salary plus meaningful early-stage equity

  • Very close collaboration with the technical team and stakeholders across the company
  • Small, growing international team from 7+ countries
  • Onsite work schedule currently
  • Office snacks include healthy options, chips, and drinks

Why this role

This is a ground-floor opportunity to influence both the science and the culture of a well-funded seed-stage company. You will have direct access to the founders and the chance to work on a meaningful challenge, since sodium-ion is one of the most consequential battery chemistries of the next decade.
