Job Description
Mobis Parts America, LLC. supports data engineers who design, build, and operate secure Azure-based platforms that power enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence. This onsite role in Fountain Valley, CA offers an annual salary range of USD 90,466 - 134,342 (expected hiring range $90,466.10 - 134,342.16), with a Monday to Friday schedule and flexibility as approved by your manager.
What you’ll do
You will design, implement, maintain, and secure Azure data platforms, including pipelines, storage, processing frameworks, and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with business analysts, Power BI developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Build automated batch and near real-time data integration processes.
- Integrate data across on-premises and cloud systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows, including performance tuning and query optimization.
- Design and maintain data warehouse and data lake architectures.
- Develop logical and physical data models, including Star Schema/Dimensional modeling.
- Optimize database schemas, indexes, and partitioning strategies.
- Support historical data retention and archival requirements.
- Manage and support key Azure services, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
- Manage and support networking and connectivity, including Azure ExpressRoute, Gateway Servers, and Azure Virtual Networks.
- Configure networking, security groups, and access controls, and plan for backup and recovery, High Availability, and disaster recovery.
- Develop scripts and automation for operational tasks and support CI/CD deployment processes.
- Automate monitoring, alerting, and maintenance; monitor availability and performance; resolve production incidents and root causes while maintaining SLA and operational standards.
- Provide technical support to business and development teams.
Required qualifications
- 4 - 7 years of data engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
- Experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Azure ExpressRoute and Azure Virtual Networks.
- Strong skills in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.
- Experience with Star Schema / Dimensional Modeling.
- Programming/scripting: Python, PowerShell, and SQL (T-SQL / PostgreSQL).
Preferred qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of Azure cloud experience.
- Experience with Power BI environments.
- Experience migrating on-premises systems to Azure.
