Data Engineer, Mid

A mid level Data Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton oversees the design and implementation of data pipelines and platforms to unify diverse data for mission driven projects. Responsibilities

• Carry out data engineering activities on high impact, mission driven initiatives.
• Deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data and render it meaningful.
• Collaborate with and guide a cross functional team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast paced, agile setting.
• Leverage analytical exploration and data examination techniques while leading the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for clients.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL, Java or Python, and Apache Spark.
• Experience working with highly structured data.
• Ability to manipulate data across multiple tables.
• Knowledge of different data types and data sources.
• Understanding of data modeling and how to make data usable for meeting mission requirements.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree.

Compensation

• Projected compensation range: $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
• The estimate reflects typical salary range and is one element of Booz Allen's total compensation package.
