Data Scientist / ML Engineer (Data Platform) - Senior

Falls Technology is seeking a Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer to support a federal national-security mission, building reliable data infrastructure and AI/ML analytics for a large data lake environment. The position is based on-site in McLean, VA and involves working directly on production pipelines, web applications, and analytics that feed mission-critical workflows.

This role requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship, reflecting the security expectations of the program. The work will span data engineering, applied machine learning analytics, and deployment automation in AWS, including GPU workloads.

Role focus

• Build production data pipelines and web applications on a large data-lake platform
• Develop AI/ML analytics using Elasticsearch, Neo4j, Trino, and Apache Hive
• Automate AWS deployment and resource management, including GPU workloads
• Mentor junior data scientists and engineers
• Write security and accreditation documentation

Compensation and benefits

• $200,000 per year
