Databricks Data Engineer

Infosys is seeking a Databricks Data Engineer to join the team onsite in Hartford, CT. This role centers on delivering high quality data solutions through active involvement in requirements elicitation, design discussions, coding and integration, code reviews, testing strategies, and the development of training materials, with strong emphasis on knowledge sharing across projects and supporting production issue resolution. The position aims to maintain software quality and foster collaborative learning across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Document assigned portions of business requirements to support the elicitation process, following provided guidelines.
• Lead design discussions for software applications and record design decisions to steer the technical team toward effective solutions.
• Code and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, prioritizing system stability.
• Perform code reviews, implement changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
• Develop and implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold quality standards.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks to facilitate adoption of new software.
• Contribute to resolving production issues and propose preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain thorough records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base for similar projects.
