Electrical Engineer

The LiRo Group (LiRo-Hill) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of electrical systems for a range of facility types, including commercial, industrial, municipal, and healthcare projects. Based in Newton, MA (onsite), this role contributes through both design and construction phases, including field support and construction administration.

For this position, the salary range is USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year. The candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant electrical design experience and hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, municipal, and healthcare facilities.
• Perform site visits, inspections, and field surveys to inform and support design and construction activities.
• Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, and load calculations.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and other disciplines.
• Review submittals and RFIs during construction administration.
• Serve as Project Engineer and Project Manager on smaller, less complex projects.
• Use engineering and design computer software, including Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD, to complete assigned work.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3 to 7 years of relevant electrical design experience.
• Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as NEC, NFPA, and IEEE.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, plus electrical design software.
• EIT certification; PE license preferred or in progress.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
