Engineer II, Electrical Systems Design

Schneider Electric is hiring an Electrical Engineer II to support manufacturing and engineering activities at its Seneca, South Carolina facility. This onsite role supports 1st shift production and engineering operations for Low Voltage Motor Control Centers (MCCs), with a focus on translating customer requirements into clear, compliant engineering documentation.

In this position, you will work through specification and drawing interpretation, coordinate resolution of documentation and order-entry discrepancies, and help keep projects aligned through change management. You will also ensure quality and safety expectations are met throughout the documentation and manufacturing instruction process.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret customer specifications, electrical drawings, and power system requirements.
• Develop and release engineering documentation for approval packages and manufacturing instructions using internal systems.
• Collaborate with field offices and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies between customer documentation and order entry.
• Manage change orders to maintain alignment with customer expectations and project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field), or Technology plus relevant motor control experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with Low Voltage Motor Control Centers and automation systems.
• Working knowledge of control logic and the ability to create technical drawings independently.
• Familiarity with engineering software tools and manufacturing systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal teams and external customers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Compensation and location: This onsite role is located in Seneca, SC and offers an expected pay range of USD 86,400 to USD 129,600 per year. The range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
