Job Description
Morales Professional is hiring a Contract Electrical Systems Engineer in Henderson, NV (onsite) to support electrical controls design for automated machinery and process equipment, with potential for direct hire.
Responsibilities
- Create electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and interconnect diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical
- Specify PLCs, VFDs, I/O systems, and power distribution components for industrial automation
- Develop BOMs and manage technical documentation with accurate drawing revisions
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including NEC/NFPA 70, UL 508A, CE, and IEC
- Participate in design reviews and provide support through panel fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting
- Estimate project time, costs, and material requirements as part of planning
Requirements
- Associate degree in CAD or 5+ years of electrical CAD experience
- Strong AutoCAD Electrical skills and working knowledge of industrial electrical design
- Ability to interpret schematics, P&IDs, I/O lists, and component manuals
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, power distribution, and industrial automation
- Working knowledge of CE/IEC standards and facility power layouts; Lean experience preferred
