Facilities Engineer Sr (Level 3)

Join Lockheed Martin as a Facilities Engineer Sr (Level 3) onsite in Grand Prairie, Texas. This senior role supports the company's Facilities Engineering Team by guiding planning, design, and execution of facility projects that sustain mission-critical operations, with responsibility for the ongoing design, upkeep, and optimization of facilities.

Role Overview

In this position you will lead multidisciplinary efforts to plan and implement reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures, ensuring alignment with project goals and schedules. You will apply a broad understanding of facility systems to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency across mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and supervise changes to equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures, including maintenance and alterations.
• Collect and review data on specifications, constraints, timelines, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinate with architecture and engineering firms to establish design criteria and produce detailed drawings.
• Prepare bid packages and contracts for construction and facilities procurement.
• Inspect construction and installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college, with at least three years of professional experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, with strong CAD system proficiency.
• Experience in Industrial or manufacturing facilities design.
• Experience managing performance of designers and contractors/subcontractors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work in teams and collaborate across functions to address complex problems.
• Knowledge of design codes and standards.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
