GCP Cloud data engineer with Java and Apache Spark

This Technology Consultant role at Infosys supports end-to-end software development activities, spanning requirements through production support, with a focus on stability and quality across the delivery lifecycle. The position is based in Raleigh, NC (onsite) and emphasizes structured design, disciplined engineering, and reliable integration of changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support requirements elicitation by documenting assigned portions of business requirements in accordance with provided guidance.
• Participate in software application design discussions and record design decisions to help steer the technical team toward effective solution delivery.
• Engage in coding activities and implement new features or updates within existing applications, with an emphasis on maintaining system stability.
• Perform code reviews, make codebase changes, and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze test results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to support a smooth transition to new software applications.
• Participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive approaches to strengthen system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enhance the knowledge base for similar projects.
