Job Description
Accenture Federal Services is hiring an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) in Huntsville, AL to build security architecture, controls, and authorization support for cloud-based client systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls for cloud-based systems, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security
- Engineer and administer security tooling, including SIEM (Splunk) and vulnerability management (Nessus/ACAS), plus STIG compliance tooling
- Develop security-as-code automation to deploy and configure security tooling using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Provide technical input to RMF authorization activities, including SSP, SCTM, POA&Ms, and Risk Assessment Reports
- Advance incident detection engineering by creating and tuning detections and improving telemetry to support incident response
- Perform technical compliance reviews of new and existing systems against IA directives, including protecting data across classification levels
- Ensure security architecture and controls are implemented and functioning across supported cloud environments
- Maintain SIEM and vulnerability management capabilities that provide security teams real visibility into risk
- Produce engineering-grounded RMF documentation suitable for authorization review
- Deliver automated, repeatable deployment and configuration of security tooling (avoid manual one-off setups)
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience implementing NIST 800-53 controls and the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including at least 1 year administering security tooling such as SIEM (Splunk), vulnerability management (Nessus/ACAS), or security automation (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- 2+ years experience with virtualization or cloud environments, including AWS or Azure
- DoD 8570 IASAE Level II certification (example: CISSP, CASP+) or DoD 8140 equivalent
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree
- Active TS clearance required; SCI preferred

- Container security familiarity (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS/AKS)
- JSIG or ICD 503 compliance knowledge
- Experience working in a DevSecOps project environment
- Familiarity with National Security systems and air-gapped environments
Salary: USD 103,200 - 196,400 per year
