IT Systems Security Engineer

Claims Management Resources Inc. is seeking an IT Systems Security Engineer to help protect company systems and sensitive information. This onsite role in Oklahoma City, OK focuses on building and sustaining security controls, monitoring for threats, and responding to incidents and privacy-related events.

Working with security frameworks, intrusion prevention tools, and cloud environments, you will support practical risk management while contributing to policy guidance and employee awareness. The position also supports disaster recovery and data protection planning to keep critical services resilient.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze IT specifications to assess security risks
• Design and implement security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and data protection strategies
• Install, configure, and upgrade security software (for example, antivirus programs)
• Secure networks using firewalls, password protection, and related systems
• Perform hardware security inspections and support system hardening
• Monitor network activity for threats and respond to incidents
• Address privacy breaches and malware threats
• Provide security expertise and training to internal employees
• Support the development of security policies and guidelines as a subject matter resource
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of security frameworks (for example, the NIST Cybersecurity framework), risk management, and intrusion prevention systems (for example, TippingPoint)
• Familiarity with PKI, SSL/TLS, and patch management practices
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Solid decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure
• Tools experience including CrowdStrike and Splunk
• 2 to 3 years of related experience
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required
• Programming skills preferred, such as C#, PHP, or .Net
• Professional certification (for example, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM) is a plus or must be able to be obtained within the first year of employment

Compensation: USD 73,000 - 83,000 per year.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK (onsite).
