Job Description

This on-site Junior Security Engineer role focuses on practical security work across documentation, monitoring, assessments, risk testing, and user support for security products. What you’ll do

  • Support documentation of computer security or emergency measure policies, procedures, or tests.
  • Monitor networks or systems for security breaches or intrusions.
  • Assist with coordinating vulnerability assessments or analysis of information security systems.
  • Support information security standards and best practices.
  • Assist in identifying or implementing solutions to information security problems.
  • Support risk assessments and help execute system tests to ensure data processing activities and security measures function correctly.
  • Provide technical support to computer users for installation and use of security products.
  • Recommend information security enhancements to management.
  • Assist in reviewing security assessments for computing environments and checking compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for security and network problems.

Knowledge and qualifications

  • Knowledge of security frameworks, software, operating systems, and compliance regulations.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and scripting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with technical experience.
  • Ability to develop and maintain information security standards.
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education and experience: A degree is not required. High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE) and 3+ years of experience applying the knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered.

Work setup

Location: Indianapolis, IN, US (onsite).
Salary: USD 61,022 per yearly.
