Lead AI and Data Security Engineer

In this onsite role in Pasadena, CA, you will lead data protection initiatives for a financial services organization, with a focus on building DSPM capabilities and strengthening controls for sensitive data used by AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data protection initiatives, building out DSPM capabilities and strengthening controls around sensitive data used by AI tools.
• Drive practical data security improvements across enterprise and cloud environments, collaborating with application, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Develop and operationalize masking, discovery, and AI data governance capabilities from engineering through ongoing operations.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of security engineering experience, including 3+ years in data security, plus a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Hands-on experience delivering enterprise data masking and handling using Delphix or similar tools.
• Experience building and operating DSPM and data discovery capabilities using Purview, Cyera, or equivalent platforms.
• Practical expertise in DLP and data governance, including Microsoft Purview and controls addressing AI-related data risks.
• Strong scripting and automation skills, experience with SIEM integration, and ability to apply data protection controls in regulated environments.
• US work authorization is required.
