Lead Prisma Cloud Security Engineer
Job Description
Novacoast Staffing Services seeks a Lead Prisma Cloud Security Engineer to lead enterprise cloud security initiatives, guiding implementations, policy development, and advisory work for client leadership. The role encompasses hands-on delivery, mentoring of junior engineers, and close collaboration with client teams to ensure robust security postures across multi-cloud environments. This position is fully remote with quarterly onsite client visits, with travel expenses covered by the firm.
Responsibilities
- Oversee client-facing engagements by deploying and managing Prisma Cloud across single or multi-cloud environments.
- Develop tailored Prisma Cloud policies and APIs to meet each client's specific needs.
- Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to strengthen container security.
- Automate security workflows within CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and deliver detailed technology solutions through consulting projects.
- Strategize migration plans for critical data, intellectual property, and high-demand applications to public cloud.
- Advocate for clients on technical issues and track resolutions through completion.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to troubleshoot, guide, and deploy solutions.
- As the Prisma Cloud Security Team expands, dedicate 10-20% of time to mentoring Prisma Cloud Engagement Engineers to maintain consistent client care quality.
- Write code or scripts as needed to support engagements.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience implementing and/or managing Prisma Cloud.
- Background as a professional services engineer, consultant, DevOps Engineer, or DevSecOps engineer is preferred.
- Required: Python scripting and Prisma Cloud RQL scripting; additional programming experience in NodeJS, Ruby, Chef, Puppet, YAML, or JSON is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years leading and delivering security solutions in enterprise environments, with emphasis on securing public cloud offerings.
- Experience in a senior engineering or lead capacity with mentoring responsibilities.
- Understanding of API-based security and compliance standards; familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems and scripting.
- Mid to advanced proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience installing, configuring, and administering security features/services on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong grasp of cloud networking models, connectivity, network security, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Proven ability to automate pipelines in CI/CD environments.
- Comfort presenting to leadership and clients; solid consulting skills.
- Remote, full-time work with quarterly on-site visits to the customer.
