Machine Learning Engineer

Build and maintain machine learning systems on the FAI team to support training and evaluation of GenAI models at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain essential tooling for agentic pipelines that generate frontier-quality assets, including RL gyms
• Partner with product teams and scientists to develop techniques and tooling tied to emerging research capabilities and model evaluation
• Work closely with Applied Scientists to investigate, plan experiments, prototype new technology, and assess technical feasibility
• Deliver high-quality software in a fast-moving environment with tight schedules

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting software systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) for new and existing systems
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Salary: USD 143,700 - 194,400 per yearly
