Mechanical Design Engineer (Entry Level)

This entry level role focuses on designing, implementing, and validating mechanical projects while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams at New Vista Corporation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, detailing, and ongoing engineering support for projects ranging from small equipment orders to large automated mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with sales teams and customers to verify that project requirements and expectations are met.
• Apply engineering principles, analytical methods, and empirical approaches to develop robust, reliable designs.
• Create engineering documents, drawings, and specifications aligned with internal and industry standards, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Participate in technical reviews and evaluate the ability of proposed designs to satisfy defined requirements.
• Inspect parts, assemble machines, and conduct testing of equipment.

Requirements

• Background in conceptual design.
• Experience with solid modeling CAD tools for large assemblies in team environments; Autodesk Inventor experience preferred.
• Experience with assembling and troubleshooting mechanical assemblies preferred.
• GD&T knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with major automotive assemblies, such as those in automobiles or trucks, preferred.
