Microsoft Analytics Data Engineer Senior Consultant

Protiviti seeks a Senior Consultant specializing in Microsoft Analytics Data Engineering within its Enterprise Data & Analytics practice. The role centers on delivering data engineering solutions for client projects using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and related technologies, in a hybrid Chicago-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, train, and coach interns and consultants to support the successful completion of project work plans.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
• Strengthen client relationships and enhance communication, trust, and professional networking with client personnel and associates.
• Define project scope and develop comprehensive work plans.
• Oversee project staffing to align capabilities with engagement needs.
• Prepare deliverables and apply established methodologies to project execution.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in professional services or a related industry.
• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Visio and Access.
• Strong SQL proficiency.
• Familiarity with programming languages used in the Microsoft Data Platform stack, including Python, Spark, C#, Java, Scala, R, DAX, MDX, or M.
• Advanced certifications are preferred: Microsoft Certified Fabric Analytics Engineering Associate; Fabric Data Engineer Associate; Azure Developer Associate; Azure Administrator Associate; Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Bonus: experience in Data Science and/or Machine Learning.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 110,000 to 180,400 per year.
