Mid-Level Hydrology & Hydraulics Engineer

Join Mead & Hunt’s water resources team in Sacramento, CA (onsite). This mid-level role combines technical hydrology and hydraulics work with client-facing project responsibilities. You will apply industry-standard modeling tools and support the delivery of water-related infrastructure projects, from analysis through report writing and construction document development.

Compensation for this position is USD 95,000 - 120,000 per year. The role is designed for engineers with several years of relevant experience who want to contribute to practical design solutions and collaborative project execution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze dam and hydropower facilities, water conveyance systems, levee systems, bridges/culverts, watersheds, and floodplains
• Support construction document and cost development
• Write project reports and documentation
• Direct the activities of other project staff
• Perform quality control reviews
• Manage project tasks and schedules
• Communicate with clients throughout project activities
• Design hydrology, hydraulics, and related water resources and civil engineering solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or a related engineering field from an accredited college or university
• At least 4 years of relevant hydrology and hydraulics experience
• PE license in any state, with the ability to obtain licensure in CA or WI within 12 months of hire
