Job Description

The Mid Level Water/Wastewater Engineer role at HireOTS supports planning, design, and construction oversight for water and wastewater facilities, contributing to projects from initial concept through implementation.

Location and Compensation

Location: West Palm Beach, FL on site. Compensation: USD 100,000 to 140,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and execute engineering tasks across a range of project sizes.
  • Design treatment processes for water and wastewater facilities, providing engineering support and overseeing construction activities.
  • Develop engineering designs, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water-related infrastructure.
  • Produce technical memos, reports, and digital deliverables.
  • Perform data analysis and support construction-phase activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of junior engineers, designers, technicians, and other team members on assigned tasks.
  • Provide engineering support throughout the construction process.
  • Engage in on-site activities such as pilot studies and field testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 6 to 12 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with emphasis on critical thinking, analysis, and creative problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is a plus.
  • Design and construction phase experience is a plus.
