Mission Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior)
Job Description
Boing? Boeing's Phantom Works OASIS Solutions team in Berkeley, MO (St. Louis, MO) is seeking a Mission Software Engineer with seasoned experience to drive the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software for space-based effects. This onsite role requires an active U.S. Secret security clearance and offers a compensation range of USD 126,650 to 217,350 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, validate, and maintain non-embedded software across the full development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Interpret customer requirements and translate them into initial software design concepts.
- Coach and lead junior engineers through software development tasks.
- Define interface specifications and develop interface definitions.
- Execute unit and integration testing to validate software components.
- Participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality and standards adherence.
- Support software system integration and testing activities.
- Produce comprehensive software documentation.
- Collaborate across teams to interface with multiple programming languages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Active U.S. Secret Security clearance
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of C++ experience
- 1+ year MATLAB
- 1+ year experience with Agile software development lifecycle

- Experienced: USD 126,650 - 171,350
- Senior: USD 160,650 - 217,350
