Network Engineer IV

This on-site contract role is for a Lead Network Engineer IV with Ops Tech Alliance, supporting the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey, CA. The position directs enterprise wide wired and wireless network performance, optimization, and security, with responsibilities including project management and mentoring of network engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead monitoring, optimization, and testing of wired and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement security controls across the network and provide advanced troubleshooting for infrastructure issues.
• Manage IT network projects from planning through deployment and documentation.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to mid-level network engineers.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Data Center, and DevOps teams on cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree with 7+ years, or 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active IAT Level II certification among CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP, plus an applicable CE/OS certification.
• CCNA, CCNP, or an equivalent credential.
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing projects.
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
