Network Security Engineer
Job Description
Network Security Engineer role in Jacksonville, FL with an on-site work setup and a focus on advanced network security.
Responsibilities
- Apply deep network security expertise to secure and manage networking environments.
- Support and maintain security tooling and firewall platforms, including Check Point and Palo Alto.
- Troubleshoot and validate routing protocol behavior across network segments.
- Work with NAT (Network Address Translation) as part of network routing and security operations.
- Implement and validate loop prevention approaches, including Spanning Tree Protocols.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in networking with a strong emphasis on network security.
- 2-5 years of experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
- Hold a Certified Security Engineer certification (example: CCSE) or a comparable credential.
- Hold a Certified Technical Engineer certification (example: Cisco CCNP) or a comparable credential.
- Comprehensive understanding of loop prevention protocols, including Spanning Tree Protocols.
- Proficiency troubleshooting routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and RIP, including NAT.
- Must be local to Florida.
