NOC/SOC Network Engineer: In-Person Role
Job Description
NOC/SOC Network Engineer role in-person at IP Services in Eugene, Oregon, supporting customer environments, cloud infrastructure, networking, servers, and cybersecurity operations.
Responsibilities
- Support, troubleshoot, and maintain customer and internal infrastructure environments
- Configure and manage Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Azure/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, AWS, Virtual Solutions, Hyper-V, and related platforms
- Monitor systems, infrastructure health, backups, and alerts within a NOC/SOC environment
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, escalation handling, and root cause analysis
- Utilize ITSM and ticketing systems for incidents, changes, service requests, and projects
- Contribute to after-hours on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance work
- Create and maintain network diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, technical documentation, and configuration records
- Adhere to ITIL/ITSM best practices for incident, problem, and change management
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, helpdesk, and leadership teams
- Assist with technical projects, customer onboarding, and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of experience in systems, networking, infrastructure, or IT support
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Desire to continuously learn and advance technical skills
- Leadership or project coordination experience is a plus
- Ability to commute to Eugene, OR 97408 (Required)
- Willingness to relocate to Eugene, OR 97408 prior to starting (Required)
