Job Description

The onsite Principal Systems Engineer FWO role in Fort Worth leads end-to-end systems engineering activities across requirements analysis and management, technical planning, system design and integration, verification and validation, cost and risk management, and supportability for total systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage requirements lifecycle, analysis, and allocations using DOORS.
  • Conceptualize, analyze, design, and oversee complex systems level architecture.
  • Perform system-level modeling and simulation.
  • Recommend tools and processes to improve systems engineering design and procedures.
  • Develop system specifications, master test plans, and other essential artifacts.
  • Contribute to integrated master schedules and monitor program progress.
  • Generate systems engineering artifacts in support of each program.
  • Lead cost estimation activities to support engineering efforts.
  • Assist in verification and validation responsibilities.
  • Ensure understanding of internal SE procedures and mentor entry level engineers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Specific Degree Field Required: Aeronautical, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Software or Systems Engineering.
  • Master’s degree plus 7 years’ experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years’ experience.
  • ESD
  • Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department
  • Advanced DOORS requirements management training
  • Systems Engineering Simulation and Modeling concepts
  • Systems Engineering methods and procedures
  • DOORS requirements management tool suite
  • Microsoft Office including Excel and other desktop tools
  • Microsoft Projects
  • Systems level analysis tools such as Mathlab or equivalent
  • Systems level block diagram capture tools such as Visio
  • Other related systems engineering tools
