Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater
Job Description
Garver's Fayetteville Water Design Center is seeking a Process Engineer to drive water and wastewater design projects from concept through bid-ready documents, under the direction of Senior Process Engineers and Project Managers. The role emphasizes design calculations, hydraulic modeling, layout development, vendor coordination, and cross-discipline collaboration, with on-site duties in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The compensation ranges from USD 80,662 to 113,256 per year.
Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual designs for water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Produce detailed design deliverables including contract documents (plans and specifications).
- Coordinate with the process mechanical team to deliver detailed design services for treatment facilities.
- Prepare design calculations and coordinate with supporting disciplines, regional Garver offices, and construction cost estimating.
- Participate in client meetings and industry conferences.
- Support evaluation, selection, and implementation of water and wastewater processes.
- Oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D models for hydraulic structures.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or biosystems/biological engineering
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within the next six months
- Two or more years of direct process experience with water/wastewater treatment plants
- Solid understanding of drinking water or wastewater treatment processes (biological, chemical, and physical)
