Job Description

DataAnnotation is building ways to train AI models using high-quality cybersecurity evaluations. As a Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer, you will review AI-generated cybersecurity content, work on security-focused technical problems, and contribute feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI security models. The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule and hourly pay of $50 to $100 USD per hour paid via PayPal.

What you’ll do

  • Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy and validity.
  • Design and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
  • Write clear technical explanations and security-relevant code as part of the evaluation and problem-solving process.
  • Provide feedback that directly influences how future AI security models are improved.

What you bring

  • 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Some coding experience is required, including comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
  • Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) with strong writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, including OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar.

Remote flexibility and pay

  • Fully remote: work from anywhere in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Flexible schedule: choose which projects you take on and when you work, using your own computer.
  • Competitive hourly rate: projects are paid $50 to $100 USD per hour.
  • Higher bonus rates: available for certain projects.
