Job Description

The Reliability Engineer based in Houston, Texas oversees Instrumentation and Controls work packages, ensuring delivery within project constraints of quality, schedule, and cost while producing technical deliverables to support construction and procurement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and validate Instrumentation & Controls technical design, taking ownership of safety, technical integrity, cost, and schedule within the project scope.
  • Translate technical requirements for the Procurement team to support Materials Requisition, and review or approve vendor documents applicable to the discipline.
  • Review and approve project changes that affect the discipline.
  • Contribute to proposal development with discipline-specific technical solutions and estimates, including benchmarks, equipment, materials, and man-hours.
  • Provide on-site assistance to address site queries, with the potential to serve as Field Engineer to support the Construction Team.
  • Collaborate with other discipline specialists and project support functions such as procurement and planning.
  • Deliver technical expertise and applicable solutions within the discipline’s deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the United States and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future; this position does not sponsor non-immigrant visas.
  • Minimum five years of related experience.
  • Strong technical background as a graduate in Instrumentation & Controls.
  • Proficiency in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), SPR, Naviswork, Microstation, Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) all modules, and AutoCAD.
