Job Description
Join Wipro Limited as a SAST Security Engineer supporting application security monitoring and incident detection in a contract role based in Minneapolis, Minnesota (onsite), with locations also including Dallas / Cincinnati / Portland. This position focuses on strengthening AppSec visibility, improving time-to-detect, and helping teams coordinate incident response, threat analysis, and audit readiness. You will also contribute to cybersecurity awareness training, including guidance on phishing and malicious emails.
Compensation: USD 60,000 - 135,000 per year. Start date: 9/17/26. Minimum experience: 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and incident detection: Analyze attack trends and correlate logs across systems to identify advanced threats. Enhance monitoring processes and implement improvements to support faster detection while aligning with security frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Incident handling and analysis: Conduct root cause analysis, create incident response plans, and implement disaster recovery measures to minimize business disruption.
- Threat assessment and analytics: Perform forensic analysis using advanced analytics tools and implement mitigation measures to meet compliance requirements.
- Stakeholder coordination and audit assistance: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and auditors to ensure compliance with security frameworks. Maintain audit documentation with accuracy and implement processes that support audit readiness and continuous compliance.
- Training and awareness: Assist with the creation and delivery of cybersecurity awareness sessions, including guidance on phishing and malicious emails.
Requirements
- AppSec detection experience using SAST, SCA, DAST, with Gitlab and Jenkins integration.
- Experience with AI LLM scanning, including AI skills & agent security.
- Working knowledge of Docker container, HEML charts, and cloud management.
- Automation skills using Java, Python, and Groovy.
- Penetration testing experience (PT).
