Job Description

PriMed Management Consulting Services, Inc. is hiring a Security Engineer III focused on network and cloud security in a hybrid setup from San Ramon, CA (remote considered). In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, engineering, implementation, and monitoring of security solutions that protect the confidentiality, availability, reliability, and integrity of organizational systems and data.

Role Summary

You will work within an IT security engineering team to drive enterprise security standards, policies, and procedures, while providing Tier-3 support. The position also requires strong experience across networks and datacenter and cloud infrastructure that support data, voice, and video.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Sr. IT Security Manager to make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards for security infrastructure projects.
  • Apply knowledge of IT audit and control, governance, and technical writing and documentation.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain security hardware and software systems.
  • Help ensure the security, integrity, and availability of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on vulnerability remediation plans and processes.
  • Act as a technical and functional subject matter expert across multiple security domains, communicating security risks internally and with partners and vendors.
  • Provide Tier-3 escalation engineering support for daily operational issues.
  • Use knowledge of DevSecOps, Azure, and cloud-based services to support security automation, engineering, and design.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of security administration and engineering experience.
  • Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to resolve problems professionally and systematically.
  • Experience in cloud security and disaster recovery planning, including high-availability, backup, recovery, and continuity solutions.
  • Knowledge of web, mobile, network, cloud, and application security engineering architecture and operations.
  • In a tiered environment, provide support, assistance, and security technical guidance to Systems and Network Engineers.
  • Healthcare and security technology services experience preferred.

Location and Compensation

  • Location: San Ramon, CA (hybrid) (remote considered)
  • Salary: USD 109,000 - 144,500 per year
