Senior AI Engineer

Mapgenesys is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the development and deployment of AI solutions across varied data environments. The position emphasizes scalable machine learning, natural language processing, generative AI, and big data systems to transform complex datasets into practical insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable AI models using TensorFlow and machine learning cloud services to support complex business needs.
• Lead end-to-end model training, evaluation, and deployment to maintain robustness, accuracy, and efficiency across diverse platforms.
• Apply advanced natural language processing and generative AI techniques to improve data-driven applications.
• Operate and extend large-scale big data systems using Hadoop, Spark, and SQL for data mining, ETL workflows, and analytics.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to architect database designs and data pipelines that enable scalable AI initiatives.
• Perform statistical analysis for research and validation using R and SAS to guide model development decisions.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell) or VBA to streamline data processing and improve operational workflows.
• Evaluate AI models using rigorous statistical analysis tooling and model evaluation metrics to ensure high performance.
• Integrate machine learning and AI-based analytics into existing enterprise systems while maintaining scalability and reliability.
• Monitor emerging trends in quantum engineering, big data analytics, and machine learning frameworks to strengthen technical approaches.

Requirements

• Proven experience building AI models with a strong foundation in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or comparable platforms.
• Extensive hands-on experience with big data platforms, including Hadoop, Spark implementation, and SQL databases for large-scale analytics.
• Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling and statistical analysis tools such as R and SAS, including predictive modeling for research or business use.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C, or Bash (Unix shell), with experience supporting model training, deployment, and automation.
• Familiarity with cloud-based AI services, including AWS or other cloud platforms, for scalable model implementation.
• Experience applying natural language processing techniques and generative AI models for innovative applications.
• Knowledge of database design principles and experience with ETL processes using Talend or similar tools to support reliable data pipelines.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts across teams while managing multiple projects at the same time.

Compensation

Pay: $31,347.96 - $47,021.94 per year
