Senior AI Engineer

Compest Solutions Inc is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to support the company’s AI adoption and enablement efforts while building and optimizing data infrastructure in AWS. Based in McLean, VA, this onsite role focuses on PostgreSQL performance, reliable cloud-native database solutions, and data pipelines that support AI/ML workloads.

In this position, you will help align technical delivery with data strategy across business and technology teams, from designing database models and SQL development to ensuring security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery standards. The role also contributes to cloud migration, modernization, and automation initiatives.

• Location: 8200 Jones Branch Dr, McLean, VA (onsite/in person)
• Work arrangement: Onsite
• Employment: Only on W2
• Visa: Any Visa will work
• Pay: USD 40 to 44 per hour
• Expected hours: 40.0 per week
• Minimum experience: 10 years

Responsibilities

• Lead AI adoption and enablement initiatives across business and technology teams
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native database solutions on AWS
• Build and optimize PostgreSQL databases for high availability, performance, and scalability
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
• Implement data pipelines and integrations to support AI/ML workloads
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to define data strategies
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning recommendations
• Ensure security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery standards are followed
• Support cloud migration, modernization, and automation efforts
