Job Description
System One is hiring a Senior AWS IAM & Data Engineer in Lafayette, LA (hybrid) to deliver enterprise cloud identity services and AWS-based data and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Configure and support AWS IAM Identity Center including identity federation, permission sets, account access, and enterprise identity integrations
- Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows using Redshift, S3, Glue, and Athena
- Troubleshoot and automate AWS IAM and data workflows while aligning with security and compliance standards
- Collaborate with security, data, cloud, and application teams to implement identity and data solutions
- Support ETL and data pipeline development and support using Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge
- Use SQL to query and analyze datasets, troubleshoot data quality issues, and support analytics reporting
- Automate cloud infrastructure and operational workflows using Python, Shell, Terraform, or CloudFormation
- Independently evaluate technical options and deliver production-quality automation and code
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with AWS IAM Identity Center, including permission sets, account assignments, identity federation, and enterprise identity integrations
- Strong working knowledge of AWS IAM concepts including roles, policies, trust policies, permission boundaries, and cross-account access troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation
- Experience developing and supporting ETL/data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, or similar technologies
- Strong SQL skills for querying, analysis, data issue troubleshooting, and reporting
- Proficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting to automate cloud, IAM, and data workflows
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
- Understanding of enterprise identity federation and integration patterns across AWS accounts and services
- Ability to independently evaluate technical options and produce high-quality code and automation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with security, cloud, data, and application teams
- Financial services or other highly regulated enterprise experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
