Senior Civil Engineer

Conrad Consulting is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to support land development projects with a remote-first setup. This role combines civil/site engineering design with ongoing client and stakeholder engagement, with the flexibility to work from Rhode Island or New York State.

Working remotely, you will lead key parts of civil/site engineering deliverables, coordinate with internal teams, and help expand project opportunities across the region. The position is backed by experienced engineering support and company leadership, along with performance-based compensation.

Role overview

• Remote support for land development projects from Rhode Island or New York State
• Focus on civil/site engineering design, technical documentation, and client relationship management

Responsibilities

• Lead and support civil/site design, grading, stormwater management, and land development projects
• Prepare and review engineering plans and design documents using Civil 3D
• Act as a technical resource for clients, municipalities, and other project stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal engineering and environmental teams to deliver quality project solutions
• Build and maintain client relationships and help identify new project opportunities
• Support regional growth efforts, including proposals and other business development initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, site design, or land development
• P.E. license
• Strong experience in grading, civil/site design, and Civil 3D
• Knowledge of stormwater management, drainage, and permitting requirements
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Interest in balancing technical engineering responsibilities with client engagement and business development

• Salary: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
