Senior Data Engineer

In this role, a Senior Data Engineer supports Prime Video by building scalable data warehousing, ETL, and data access capabilities using AWS services, while collaborating with business and technical teams to design robust data systems.

Responsibilities

• Address large-scale data warehousing challenges and apply AWS cloud services to issues in big data processing, warehouse design, and self-service data access.
• Contribute to automation and optimization across all areas of DW and ETL maintenance and deployment.
• Partner with business and technical teams to tackle non-standard problems, using creative problem solving to deliver actionable outputs.
• Develop systems and tools to process data with efficient technologies that scale through seasonal demand.
• Influence day-to-day decision making within the team through measurable data insights.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Experience mentoring team members on best practices
