Job Description

Senior Data Engineer at Uline in Waukegan, IL (onsite) designs BI and data warehouse solutions, builds data engineering processes, and maintains ETL and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business users to design and implement BI and data warehouse solutions.
  • Work with project leads, analysts and business stakeholders to deploy and validate data warehouse applications.
  • Develop intricate data engineering workflows to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Perform unit, performance and regression testing on ETL mappings.
  • Adhere to coding standards, conduct code reviews, and enhance data quality practices.
  • Oversee production deployments and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Proven ability to write complex T-SQL and perform database performance tuning.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve data issues.
  • Knowledge of SSIS, Python, Azure, Snowflake or Databricks is a plus.
  • Uline does not participate in the H1-B lottery.
