Job Description
Senior Data Engineer at Uline in Waukegan, IL (onsite) designs BI and data warehouse solutions, builds data engineering processes, and maintains ETL and analytics platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to design and implement BI and data warehouse solutions.
- Work with project leads, analysts and business stakeholders to deploy and validate data warehouse applications.
- Develop intricate data engineering workflows to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Perform unit, performance and regression testing on ETL mappings.
- Adhere to coding standards, conduct code reviews, and enhance data quality practices.
- Oversee production deployments and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Proven ability to write complex T-SQL and perform database performance tuning.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve data issues.
- Knowledge of SSIS, Python, Azure, Snowflake or Databricks is a plus.
