Job Description

Capgemini Sogeti seeks a Senior Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer in Chicago, IL with a hybrid work arrangement. The role centers on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions, including a semantic data layer and AI driven data products to empower business intelligence, data science, and advanced analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines to ensure seamless data integration across diverse systems.
  • Establish and enforce analytics engineering best practices, encompassing coding standards, data governance, performance optimization, and automation strategies.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to ongoing improvements in coding practices and methodologies.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust ETL and ELT pipelines, reusable frameworks, and libraries to process data from multiple sources with accuracy and quality.
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to guarantee high availability, reliability, and performance across data workflows.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment, testing, and maintenance of analytics engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to align on data initiatives across teams.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, dbt, and Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with Git and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Proven track record designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and performance optimization in data engineering contexts.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and integrating data from diverse sources into a data warehouse.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows and tools for data engineering.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.

The role requires a highly skilled data engineer to join the Analytics Engineering team, where responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that drive Advanced Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Data Science initiatives. A key aspect is creating a semantic data layer, defining and implementing innovative data products, and delivering AI driven solutions that support business growth and enhance customer experience.

Salary Transparency

For this role, the gross annual base salary range is $110,841 to $145,000 for a full-time position. This range covers base pay only; bonuses, incentives, and benefits will be discussed during the hiring process. Your exact offer will depend on objective, job-related factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications, in line with our fair pay principles.
