Join an established Japanese IT solutions group that delivers systems integration and technology services to business clients. This position blends business analysis and systems engineering to support financial systems operations and project delivery. Located in New York City, the role embraces a hybrid work arrangement, with the possibility of fully remote arrangements depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide system support and conduct issue and incident analysis for financial systems.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new initiatives, system enhancements, and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with users, stakeholders, and technical teams to clarify needs and translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
- Support business analysis activities across financial systems projects, including requirement definition, workflow analysis, gap analysis, and process improvement.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal and external teams to drive resolutions.
- Prepare functional documentation such as business requirements, process flows, test scenarios, and related project materials.
- Assist with testing, user acceptance support, implementation coordination, and post-launch follow-up as needed.
- Communicate effectively in both Japanese and English with clients, users, and project teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong experience in system support, issue analysis, and business analysis.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange, swaps, bonds, derivatives, and core banking systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical system solutions.
- Japanese and English bilingual communication skills are required.
- Ability to work effectively with both business users and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote or distributed environment.
