Senior GNC Systems Engineer
Job Description
The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. is seeking a Senior GNC Systems Engineer to join the Hypersonic and Advanced Weapons group onsite in Cambridge, MA. This role leads multi-disciplinary teams to conceive next-generation weapon system concepts and advance GNC subsystem technology for national security applications. The salary range is USD 82,300 to 220,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Design innovative weapon system concepts to address complex mission problems
- Adapt to shifting program priorities and requirements
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams and complete assignments independently
- Drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction
- Lead small teams and align efforts with program goals
- Provide insights and propose design modifications based on analysis, applying techniques across diverse challenges
- Identify program and system level technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Mentor junior engineers and offer constructive feedback
- Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with a system-level perspective
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Hands-on experience with simulation-based performance analysis
- Experience with the systems engineering process
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation, coding, descriptive modeling (SysML), STPA, and/or other engineering analysis tools
- Knowledge of GN&C, avionics architectures, fault tolerance, cyber security, encryption, threat modeling, or related technologies as defined in the role
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a systems engineer or in a related role
- Applicants must obtain and maintain a government security clearance
