Senior Mechanical Engineer - Mission Critical Facilities

BRUNS-PAK, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) focused on data center and mission critical facilities to join our Edison, NJ team. Responsibilities

• Lead professional engineering design for the mechanical discipline, covering HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Suppression on data center projects
• Develop design solutions using sound engineering principles
• Provide calculations and documentation for designs and maintain records for future reference
• Evaluate existing facilities and systems and assess as-built conditions affecting the design
• Prepare written reports documenting design criteria and other design aspects
• Suggest alternate solutions based on life cycle cost or first cost with budget impacts
• Coordinate with consultants and in-house design and CAD personnel to document design intent on construction and bid documents
• Seal permit documents as Engineer of Record; company provides E&O and liability insurance; company insurance does not cover designs for outside projects unrelated to the company
• Perform other responsibilities typical of professional mechanical design roles in line with industry standards
• Travel to project job sites is expected

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Licensed/Registered as a Professional Engineer
• Ability to collaborate with a broad multidisciplinary team on consulting reports, design projects, and construction/commissioning efforts
