Job Description
This onsite role at Garver in Greenville, SC directs drinking water treatment design and construction support, guiding projects from conceptual planning through bid-ready documentation while coordinating with regional offices, vendors, and regulatory agencies. The position offers a salary range of USD 93,641–113,256 per year.
Responsibilities
- Lead evaluations of drinking water processes, select solutions, and oversee implementation.
- Oversee detail design of conventional drinking water treatment sequences, including coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation basins.
- Oversee detail design of filtration systems, covering both conventional and advanced filtration methods.
- Oversee design of membrane system solutions for drinking water treatment.
- Oversee conventional and advanced disinfection system design.
- Select pumps and design pump stations.
- Design chemical storage and feed systems.
- Develop piping and instrumentation drawings and prepare specifications and contract documents.
- Support construction projects and oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D models.
- Direct projects from conceptual planning to bid-ready documents, including facility and equipment layouts, design calculations, equipment vendor coordination, management and coordination of support discipline activities, and coordination with regional offices and regulatory agencies, as well as perform quality reviews of other teams' designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of direct design experience with municipal water plants.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
